Jeremy Gates (Associate)

Jeremy is a talented hypnotherapist and couples therapist who is passionate about helping his clients use the power of their minds to live better lives. Jeremy is currently not a registered psychologist and his clients are NOT eligible for Medicare rebates. Jeremy works with conflict, phobias, anxiety, traumatic stress, and addiction. He has a warm personality and puts his clients at ease. He works with individuals over 18 years and couples. His approach incorporates strategies from Hypnotherapy, Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP), Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and Non-Violent Communication (NVC).


Zameer Esmail

Zameer is an intelligent, caring psychologist. Having lived in Canada, India, Kenya, Zambia, Tanzania, and Australia, he is culturally aware and well-versed in understanding behavioural patterns across different groups and cultures. He is passionate about helping clients overcome depression, anxiety and trauma. He enjoys working with clients who have experienced any kind of relational or shock trauma using evidence-based trauma therapies. Additionally, he has experience assessing and treating adults and children with ADD, ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Zameer is a calming and insightful therapist.


Michelle Chiang

Michelle has studied and lived in various parts of the world including Canada, the USA and Britain and has been a registered psychologist in Australia since 2008. She sees adults, young adults, teenagers and families. Before joining NBP, Michelle worked in a range of settings including Employee Assistance and Youth Services. She draws from a range of evidence-based therapies but particularly Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT). She is very warm and accepting in her approach to clients.


Jennifer Langdon

Jennifer’s passion is helping individuals cope with adjustment disorder, depression and anxiety, ASD, ADHD, disordered eating, food addiction, binge eating and bulimia, self-esteem, and weight management. Jennifer also works with trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), smoking and alcohol reduction or cessation, and career counselling. Jennifer is skilled at: Eye movement desensitisation reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), Interpersonal therapy (IPT) and Clinical Hypnosis.


Joel Maczkowiack

Joel is a fully registered Psychologist who works with teenagers (13 and over) and adults. Joel uses cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), interpersonal therapy (IPT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), narrative therapy, and solution-focussed therapy.

Janet O’Donnell

Janet is a generalist psychologist who has been practising for over 20 years. She practices clinical, counselling and health psychology. Janet has a warm and friendly personality and in her straightforward manner, helps clients to thrive and achieve fulfilling lives. Janet treats issues such as depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), OCD, ASD, addiction, and anger management. Janet also provides grief and loss counselling. She is experienced with chronic pain and disease management, and drug and alcohol abuse recovery.


Robin Fraser

Please note: Robin is taking clients once again. Robin is a very experienced psychologist who works with adolescents, adults and couples. He is thoughtful and relaxed with a compassionate style which helps you feel safe and accepted. Nahum Kozak

An experienced, intelligent and friendly Psychologist, Nahum (whose name rhymes with ‘Graham’) sees adolescents, adults, and couples. He is skilled in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), interpersonal therapy (IPT), emotion focussed therapy (EFT) and the Gottman Method including intensive or “Marathon” couples therapy. Nahum can help with family conflict, anxiety, depression, relationship conflict, stress and burnout, setting boundaries, anger management, and work-life balance. Nahum has a warm and welcoming approach which quickly puts clients at ease.

She has extensive experience using evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Schema Mode Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Motivational Interviewing, Assertiveness Training, Anger Management, and Trauma-informed Therapy.


Lynne Rodgers

Lynne works with adults, couples and adolescents. She loves helping people with grief, anxiety, anger management, depression and relationships. Lynne previously worked in specialist clinics facilitating substance use groups and assisting people recover from addictions, domestic violence, and complex trauma. Lynne has postgraduate training in a range of evidence-based therapies, including Neuro-Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) and Compassion-Focussed Therapy.


Pia Jones

Pia previously worked in community settings, for QLD Health, Wellness Retreats, and in private practice. She is passionate about integrative health care. Pia is warm and fun. She uses CBT, ACT, mindfulness, and the Gottman Method with couples. She can work with your GP to develop a plan to meet your needs.


Jenny Laing

Jenny has been a Psychologist for almost 20 years. Before that she worked as a child health nurse and midwife. Jenny’s positive approach will refresh you and give you courage to move towards the future you want. Jenny can help with anxiety, depression, addiction, development problems, and relationship conflict. Jenny’s techniques are flexible and respectful of your personal needs and comfort. She particularly embraces Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, solution-focused therapy, positive psychology and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). She incorporates tools from several evidence-based approaches rather than relying on a single therapy.


Dr Rachel Hannam

Rachel is the Director of NBP. Due to her small caseload, she is currently unable to accept new clients. Rachel has been a registered psychologist since 2002. She consulted to organisations for years, working with doctors, nurses, teachers, pilots, lawyers, and executives, and is experienced in coaching individuals and groups. She is skilled at helping people cope with stress and trauma, relationship conflict, and personal change. In 2006, Rachel was awarded her PhD on the topic of psychological burnout and resilience. She uses CBT, ACT, Schema therapy, the Gottman Method, DBT and nonviolent communication (NVC) methods.
