Dr Charla Sanri

PhD (Psych) MSc (Psych) Gottman Lvl I

Charla is a warm and friendly relationship counsellor with a PhD in flourishing relationships. With a research and teaching background in relationship science and positive psychology, she works with individuals and couples to facilitate fulfilling relationships. Her research has looked into preventive interventions in relationships, the impact of culture and religion on relationships, and the impacts of online dating. She is a Gottman Method trained counsellor. She also has an interest in mediation between separated parents and other interventions in wellbeing. In particular, her PhD research explored how to facilitate meaningful, fulfilling, and thriving relationships that go beyond the mediocre. Charla is bilingual in English & Turkish.


Anne-Marie Van Duin

Anne-Marie is passionate about helping people with anxiety, depression, stress and burnout, adjustment difficulties, low motivation, low self-esteem, and grief and loss. She also provides coaching for those wishing to find clarity in their future career or life goals. Anne-Marie is a compassionate psychologist who takes the time to listen and understand each individual’s unique challenges and goals and tailors her therapeutic approach to meet each individual’s unique needs. To do this, Anne-Marie draws from various evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and also Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT).

Dora is a fully registered Psychologist who uses a strengths-focussed approach. She has experience working in clinical and counselling settings in private practice, research, vocational rehabilitation, and not-for-profit. Dora has helped people from diverse backgrounds with various mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, stress and coping, complex trauma / PTSD, grief and loss, adjustment and personality disorders. Dora has a friendly and compassionate approach and uses diverse modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, all of which aim to facilitate insight and help build your resilience to manage psychological difficulties.


Keri Okanik

Keri is a Child and Family Social Worker and Youth Counsellor with a Masters in Social Work. She has 15+ years experience working in human services. Keri has a warm and bubbly personality that immediately puts people at ease. She works with children 6 years and over with academic and behavioural difficulties, including ADD/ADHD, ASD, bullying, body positivity, family and peer relationships, suicidal ideation and self-harm. She has worked extensively with families experiencing domestic violence.  Keri is experienced working with a variety of therapies, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Play Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Her approach is trauma-informed and strengths-focused.


James Carroll

James is an empathetic psychologist with a background in general psychology, vocational counselling, performance and motivation psychology, and crisis counselling. He helps people with panic and anxiety, stress, depression, performance concerns, relationship issues, addiction, alcohol and substance use, grief and loss, and overcoming barriers to wellbeing. He has also worked with schizophrenia, complex post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and personality disorders. He draws on his knowledge of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Person-centred Psychotherapy.

David Mackay

Dr Jason Wessel

Jason began practicing counselling in 2010 in suicide intervention and vocational rehabilitation, has worked in several sleep laboratories, and was previously responsible for leadership and executive coaching in a team of psychologists.

Jeremy is a couples therapist, hypnotherapist and mediator who is passionate about helping his clients use the power of their minds to live better lives. Jeremy is not a registered psychologist and therefore his clients are not eligible for Medicare rebates. Jeremy works with conflict, performance anxiety, stress, pain, and motivation. He has a warm personality and puts his clients at ease. He works with individuals over 18 and couples. Brendan Turner

Dr Rachel Hannam

Rachel is the Director of NBP. Due to her small caseload, she is currently unable to accept new clients. Rachel has been a registered psychologist since 2002. She consulted to organisations for years, working with doctors, nurses, teachers, pilots, lawyers, and executives, and is experienced in coaching individuals and groups. She is skilled at helping people cope with stress and trauma, relationship conflict, and personal change. In 2006, Rachel was awarded her PhD on the topic of psychological burnout and resilience. She uses CBT, ACT, Schema therapy, the Gottman Method, DBT and nonviolent communication (NVC) methods.

Our lovely admin staff

Our friendly Admin and Reception Team will answer and return your phone calls, respond to any inquiries you may have, including who to book in with, how to obtain a Medicare rebate, and how to find our offices. Between 9am and 5pm, at our Aspley and Clayfield offices, they will process your payment and rebate for you. Please note we do not have Reception staff at our Stafford Heights offices (Ringrose & Pangeza Sts). Your Psychologist will process your payment and rebate for you out-of-hours.
