Angela is a warm and friendly Psychologist, Social Worker, and Family Mediator. She supports adults with chronic health issues, grief and loss, Autism, ADHD, Bipolar, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Internet Gaming Disorder, difficulties with hoarding and developing identity for neurodivergent individuals, burnout, and Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders. 

Angela works in a trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, and client-centered way to support people in meeting their therapeutic goals. Whilst she can recommend strategies to help clients, Angela acknowledges that people are the experts in their own lives. She enters into collaborative partnerships, where she values a growth mindset and what lived experience brings to the therapeutic relationship. 

Angela is trained in using a range of evidence-based psychotherapies including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, Emotion Focussed Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing (MI). 

Angela is skilled and experienced in a range of complex psychological assessments. She provides a neuroaffirming holistic assessment experience to support clients and their families to gain a deeper understanding of themselves. She recognises a person’s strengths along with their areas for growth and provides a tailored individualised plan of recommendations for functional development and links to appropriate support services. She is also able to offer additional sessions for support and information on the NDIS application processes, or engage in stakeholder meetings for professional guidance on implementing support intervention plans (for example school support).
Through North Brisbane Psychologists she is currently able to offer the following assessments for children aged 6 years to older adults:

  • Autism/ ADHD combined assessment
  • NDIS functional assessment review
  • Sensory profile assessments for emotion regulation difficulties
