Nathaniel is a process-focused, empathetic Psychologist with a passion for mental health and wellbeing. He is passionate about helping people recognise their worth by validating that all concerns deserve to be heard. Nathaniel also doesn’t shy away from using a little (or a lot) of humour along the way. He has experience in helping people of diverse backgrounds with equally diverse concerns, including trauma, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, gender identity, and many others. Above all, he believes in seeing the client first and the label second. He sees clients 10 years of age and over.
Nathaniel primarily utilises mindfulness-based and person-centred psychotherapies, often employing techniques of Acceptance-Commitment Therapy (ACT), Metacognitive Therapy (MCT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). He also has knowledge of Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
Nathaniel completed his Master of Psychology in 2020. Nathaniel also has a background in performance and sport psychology and is currently working to become an endorsed sport and exercise psychologist. He has worked with soccer players, Paralympic swimmers, dance performers, and esports players. He has a passion for helping people reach their best. In his spare time, Nathaniel enjoys running, meditating, tending to his garden, and baking or cooking.
