Elizabeth is a gentle, caring and skilled Psychologist. She enjoys helping people to move towards what’s most important to them in life. Elizabeth is experienced working with people experiencing depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, stress, trauma / PTSD, life transitions, relationship issues, assertiveness and boundaries issues, chronic pain and grief. Elizabeth is experienced in providing psychological therapy in community organisations and private practice, and sees people aged 18 and over.
Depending on a person’s needs and goals, Elizabeth draws on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Parts Work Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Compassion Focused Therapy and Mindfulness in therapy. Elizabeth looks for each individual’s strengths and is passionate about helping people access their values and strengths to support their well-being, their relationships, and sense of purpose in life.
Elizabeth is a genuine, empathic, and non-judgmental practitioner. She will seek to develop a trusting and safe relationship with you. She is compassionate and good-humoured.
Elizabeth is both creative and scientific. Before training as a Psychologist, Elizabeth worked for government in the area of policy development. Her original Science degree was in Ecology and Botany. In her spare time Elizabeth loves the beach, bushwalking, and spending time with friends and family, her partner, her kids and her dog.
