Elizabeth is a gentle, caring and skilled psychologist. She enjoys helping people to move towards what’s most important to them in life. Elizabeth is experienced working with people experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship and interpersonal difficulties, issues with assertiveness and boundaries, post-traumatic stress, shame and self-criticism, obsessive-compulsive issues, chronic pain, grief and loss, as well as developmental issues including ASD and ADHD. Elizabeth has experience providing psychological therapy in community organisations and private practice, and sees people aged 16 and over.
Depending on a person’s needs and goals, Elizabeth draws on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing in her practice. Elizabeth looks for each individual’s strengths and is passionate about helping people access their values and strengths to support their well-being, their relationships, and sense of purpose in life.
Elizabeth is a genuine, empathetic, and non-judgmental practitioner. She will seek to develop a trusting and safe relationship with you. She is compassionate and good-humoured.
Elizabeth is both creative and scientific. Before training as a Psychologist, Elizabeth worked for Government in the area of policy development. Her original Science degree was in Ecology and Botany. In her spare time Elizabeth loves swimming, bushwalking, and spending time with her friends, her partner, her two kids and her dog.
