Freya is an attentive, playful and soul-soothing Arts Therapist. She really gets the healing power of creative expression. Freya supports young people aged 6 years and up experiencing trauma, bullying, stress and anxiety, grief and loss. questions around identity and struggles with confidence. With a Masters in Therapeutic Arts Practice and a registered professional member of ANZACATA, she is eligible for NDIS.
Quite the creative dabbler herself, Freya encourages all modalities and forms of expression. She is trained in person-centred practice, meeting you where you’re at and working alongside you collaboratively – physically, emotionally and developmentally. The biggest feelings and scariest thoughts are welcome.
Freya believes that it is often creative expression – be that visual art, movement, nature play, music, or witnessed silence – that provides a safe outlet for the unsayable. It is important to Freya that you feel safe and valued in your time with her. Sessions are guided by evidence-based methods that are strengths-focused and trauma-informed.
Freya spends her spare time getting messy – playing with clay, admiring mosses on a bush walk, engaging in volunteer work, and cuddling with her baby nephew and pets.
