Aaron is a warm, empathic and collaborative psychologist who prioritises creating a safe space to explore and work with you through your difficulties. Aaron works with adults and adolescents (age 13+). He understands that mental health requires more than the reduction of distress to ‘just get by’ but also the development of feelings of emotional and mental wellbeing through an improved sense of self, a sense of belonging, meaningful relationships and purpose in life. Aaron can help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself and others, improve your self-esteem, and experience growth that is meaningful to you.
Aaron can conduct psychological assessment and treatment for people experiencing a range of emotional, behavioural and interpersonal difficulties. He draws upon several evidence-based approaches including Psychodynamic Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Family Therapy, Mentalisation Based Therapy (MBT), Trauma Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT). He has experience providing individual and group therapy in a range of professional settings including private practice and hospitals.
As an integrative psychodynamic therapist, Aaron provides therapy for adults and adolescents and has helped people with anxiety, depression, personality disorders, addiction, trauma, relationship difficulties, life transitions, work and study related stress. He provides brief and longer term treatment options based on your needs.
Aaron holds registration with the Psychology Board of Australia and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). He recently attained his Masters in Clinical Psychology and is working towards his endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist.
