Aaron is a warm, empathic and collaborative Clinical Psychologist who prioritises creating a safe space to explore and work with you through your difficulties. He understands that mental health requires more than the reduction of distress but also the development of feelings of emotional and mental well-being through an improved sense of self, sense of belonging, meaningful relationships and purpose in life. Aaron has experience providing individual and group therapy in a range of professional settings including private practice and hospitals. He has helped people with anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, PTSD, personality disorders, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and work and study stress.
Aaron conducts psychological assessment and treatment for adults of all ages experiencing a range of emotional, behavioural and interpersonal difficulties. He has experience in evidence-based approaches including Psychodynamic Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Family Therapy, Mentalisation Based Therapy (MBT), Trauma Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT).
Aaron is an integrative psychodynamic psychologist and has a special interest in providing longer-term, in-depth psychotherapy that can help you gain an understanding of why you may be experiencing repeated problems in your life and ongoing distress despite your best efforts to change. Through the therapeutic relationship and a collaborative exploration of the past and present, underlying unconscious patterns of relating to yourself and others can be uncovered, processed and understood to develop new ways of being, relating and living more fully in the present.
