Anthony is an experienced and compassionate therapist for couples and individuals. With 15 years experience and Masters-level training in counselling and psychotherapy, he has established a broad understanding of working with issues such relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, addictions. emotional distress, self-confidence, shame and guilt, grief and loss.
Anthony uses a client-centred approach, which means there isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach – he endeavours to understand what is important for you. Using empathy and non-judgement, he desires to understand what life is like for you and to ‘get’ you – what you are thinking and feeling, how the events of life have impacted you, what you want and need, and supporting you to move towards the life you desire – whether you are an individual or couple. He creates a safe and sacred space to be open and real about what you are experiencing.
Anthony is skilled in building rapport with clients and is passionate about helping people heal from their emotional, mental and psychological struggles so that they can live the life they truly desire. To do this, he uses a range of evidence-based psychotherapies including Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Interpersonal Therapy.
In his spare time, Anthony loves to travel, read, spend time at the beach, exercise, watch and play sport, and spend time with family and friends, including 2 well-loved nephews.
