Louise is an empathetic Psychologist who values the opportunity to support people to adapt to transitions and challenges in life and work. She works with people 15 and over to manage anxiety, depression, stress, adjustment issues, trauma, addiction, workplace challenges, psychological injury, and study / career decisions. Louise has worked with people from all walks of life, including blue-collar workers, university students, teachers, academics, nurses, doctors, engineers, lawyers, and executives leaders.
She also enjoys supporting clients on their weight-loss journey, including those considering or going through weight-loss surgery. She is informed by a Non-Diet Approach® (Health At Every Size) approach. She is trauma-informed and attachment focused. Her approach to therapy is inclusive and nonjudgmental as she weaves together a combination of evidence-based strategies from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Positive Psychology, Solution Focused Therapy and Motivational Interviewing, depending on the needs of her client. Louise is curious and interested in people and constantly inspired by the ability of humans to persist and grow even in the most difficult of circumstances.
Earlier in her psychology career, Louise gained experienced organisational development consulting, career counselling and development, learning design, leadership coaching, personal development and workplace training on topics such as emotional intelligence, communication, wellbeing, resilience and managing change.
Away from work Louise enjoys spending time making things with beautiful fabric and shows her affection by cooking for people. She and her partner are owned by two Golden Retrievers whose antics are a constant source of amusement and joy.
