Canice is a deep-listening, compassionate Mental Health Social Worker who considers it a great privilege to walk alongside you to address challenges and achieve goals. He supports people aged 15 and over experiencing challenges with complex trauma, ADHD, dissociative conditions, addictions, personality disorders, Bipolar, ASD, chronic pain, parenting, relationships, men’s issues, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, climate change and disaster-related mental health concerns. His colleagues have nominated him for AASW Social Worker of the Year!
After previous work in international development, child protection and academia, Canice has found his niche as a grounded and integrated therapist using evidence-based therapies tailored for you. These include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing), Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Interpersonal Therapy.
In his spare time, Canice can be found with his young family, on the drums, out bushwalking, on the yoga mat, reading a book or exploring Buddhist philosophy and mindfulness practices.
