Nonie is a warm, empathy-focused counsellor who will soon be registered as a Psychologist. She places a strong emphasis on creating a non-judgemental and validating space in her support of clients aged 8 and over. Nonie can help with issues and life adjustments such as anxiety, depression, trauma, domestic violence, Borderline Personality Disorder, addictions, suicidality, and grief and loss.
Nonie ensures that treatment is tailored to each client’s unique needs by integrating evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, schema therapy, person-centred therapy, reminiscence therapy, and trauma-informed care. With diverse experience in community mental health services, aged care, disability support, and private practice, Nonie brings a holistic and adaptable approach to therapy. With cultural competence and experience working with individuals from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, Nonie prioritises creating a safe and inclusive space for clients.
In her spare time, Nonie enjoys hanging out with her cat Boo, making pottery, going to the beach, reading, and camping with friends.
