Eske (pronounced “Eskuh”) is a registered counsellor, with international degrees in Psychology. Originally from Holland, Eske is an experienced mental health professional and researcher. However, her fee is close to the gap payment (out-pocket-expense) you would otherwise expect. Eske is also unable to accept WorkCover or DVA clients.

Eske has a warm and caring personality and she will make sure that you feel respected and valued when sharing your story. Eske believes that everyone has unique strengths and insights that will help them deal with the challenges that life inevitably brings.

As a counsellor, Eske understands your issues from your perspective and she will help you explore how you can further develop your resilience to accomplish personal growth and reach your goals. She uses a person-centred approach to therapy, meaning that she will guide you on your journey but encourage you to take control of your life and your own choices.

Eske is proficient in Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Grief and Loss Counselling. She works with individuals age 18 years and over who are having difficulties with anxiety and stress, life transitions, career development, relationships, or those experiencing grief and loss. She will help you achieve your personal objectives and to find ways to live a meaningful and purposeful life focused on what matters most to you.

Eske also works as a Senior Scientist at QIMR Berghofer Research Institute in Herston where she investigates the influence of genetic risk factors on mental health. She is an advocate for reducing stigma surrounding mental health problems.
